Ask Who?
Kristin Stanford, aka "The Island Snake Lady"
has been researching the Lake Erie Watersnake since 2000. She
is currently the Recovery Plan Coordinator for the LEWS
working at The Ohio State University's Stone Laboratory
located on South Bass Island in Ohio.

To facilitate open communication about LEWS with the public,
Kristin created "Ask The Snakelady", a semi-monthly column that
appears in both island newspapers (The Put-in-Bay Gazette and
Kelleys Life). Her e-mail address: theislandsnakelady@yahoo.com
was available to anyone who wanted to ask a question or voice a
concern they had regarding LEWS or other local snakes. When a
question is posed that has broad public appeal, both question and
answer are published in the papers.
